Second time dining here. Higher end southern country style cooking. Lots of patio seating with outdoor coolers. Service is great. Last night we feasted and loved our meal, beet salad, grits, deviled eggs, biscuits, chicken. All ***** stars. At the end our waitress mentioned the special Peach Cobbler. Which we ordered and it looked beautiful when it arrived. Ice cream on top is great, crust was similar to their biscuits (wish they had put a little more sugar on the crust. We were expecting the bottom of the cobbler to be filled with peaches and sauce. But we were really disappointed that there was barely any peach filling. Like it had maybe two slices of peaches. So it was basically biscuits and ice cream. The worst - * 1 star. Better ranking for looks - ***** 5 stars. A Hostess Fruit Pie from 7-11 would have tasted better.

Walked in on a Tuesday and was s water immediately. It was a super hot day and the restaurant while air conditioned was still way too hot. I sat in one of their tall booths. I liked the table. I started with a glass of wine. I had the buttermilk biscuit which was on the daily special Menu, it was great. I ordered the wagyu burger with the duck fat fries with the bernaise sauce. I had the burger with no pickles and sauce on the side. The burger was good. I enjoyed the caramelized onions on it. The bernaise sauce was way too watery for my liking. I expected more of a sauce instead of a liquid. Fries were okay, not as good as I hoped. Staff was very well trained and attentive. I would go back just not during a major heat wave.

OHHHHHH Y'ALL NEED TO COME HERE This was such FUN casual relaxed dining, we sat out back, hi top table #14 & it was perfect for the 4 of us! The fans kept it relatively cool AND kept the flies away . Started on the HH menu so that was a wonderful bonus ~ the tacos were FABULOUS ~ the carnitas were flavorful & juicy, the fries tasty except for the soft poached egg (ewwww ) the sauce was a perfect addition. As most places these days, deviled eggs appear on the menu.....these are not to be missed, just DEEELISSSH It's warm this time of year in the ATX & drinks were a necessity ~ lots of speciality cocktails offered also lots of beer selections. Everyone's drinks as delicious as expected Nothing disappointing about the Salty Sow our dessert which I requested as I saw one pass by, the bread pudding (minus raisins ) with carmel sauce was "da bomb" of deliciousness Lastly, our server ~ he was a "PREFECT" fit for us & sadly I don't recall his name attentive without being intrusive. PLUS he knew the menu both food & cocktail so he made excellent suggestions/recommendations Lots of FREE parking in their lot, probably should make a reservation to be safe.

Loved the atmosphere here. Super cute place to come with a group of friends. We had the redfish which was suggested by our waiter and the beet salad. Food was incredible and everything was fresh. The cheese the beets had was light and didn't have an overpowering goat cheese taste which I loved. Also want to mention that Josh who helped us was so enthusiastic and truly cared about our experience there. Before leaving make sure to try the banana foster beignets.

BEST BRUSSELS SPROUTS I HAVE EVER HAD. And if you read my reviews...I'm a self proclaimed Brussels judge. They take all the little leaves off and they are so crispy, with maybe hot honey? And golden raisins. I'm about to drive to Austin now just thinking about them. The check thighs were moist and flavorful. I wanted to lock the plate. Casual atmosphere- we were on a covered patio. Reservations are A MUST. Drinks were nice. Service attentive and friendly. Will 10000% come back.

4.5 stars Worth all the hype! Had been on our to-try list for a minute. Came here about a month ago during happy hour. Didn't have reservations, but the staff was nice and squeezed us in. The duck fat fries were so good! Fat was a bit difficult to scoop up with the fries, kept rolling away lol, but we managed. The side sauce really completed the dish! All of the tacos were good, but I'm still thinking about that pork belly taco! The meat was sooo good and juicy, almost melted in your mouth, and the cheese grits complemented it perfectly. Complete with a side margarita and sour beer. Yum!!! It was a beautiful day

Salty Sow sets a warm, lively scene with its classic soundtrack, featuring artists like Michael Jackson and Journey. The place perfectly combines comfort with a bit of nostalgia. The meal started strong with the dirty fries, a standout dish. The combination of crispy fries, rich gravy, and creamy cheese sauce made for a fantastic appetizer (as showcased in the photo I took). While the beef shoulder and chicken thighs were delicious, the dirty fries were the true highlight, leaving a lasting impression. The service was excellent -- attentive without being intrusive. However, there was a minor issue with gnats and flies buzzing around, which was a slight distraction from the otherwise cozy atmosphere. Overall, Salty Sow delivers a delightful dining experience with great food and a friendly vibe, making it well worth a visit, especially for those fries.
